Care you can trust, from someone who cares

Debbie, Licensed Nurse and owner of Golden Years Senior Foot Care

Debbie is a Licensed Nurse with a genuine passion for senior wellness. After years of nursing experience, she saw a gap in compassionate, accessible foot care for seniors who deserve better than a rushed podiatrist visit.

Golden Years Senior Foot Care was born from a simple belief: everyone deserves gentle, professional care in a place where they feel safe and comfortable. Debbie brings her nursing expertise directly to your home, so you or your loved one never have to worry about transportation or unfamiliar settings.

Every visit includes a thorough foot health assessment, sterile tools, and the kind of unhurried attention that makes all the difference.

In Their Words

The questions families ask, answered by families who asked them

Every answer below is a real review left by one of Debbie's clients on Google.

“Will it hurt? Her feet are so sensitive.”

“I have neuropathy, fibromyalgia and a few other issues and never once felt any pain which normally just touching my feet sends me through the roof. She did toe nails and got a couple callous spots. Nails look wonderful and feet are soft.”

Lori Brucklacher

“We already tried a podiatrist. It didn't help.”

“We've been to podiatrists and they offered little help. My dad and myself had been struggling to care for her nails, but no longer. Debbie is very thorough and skilled. … She's been caring for my mom for 6 months.”

Brooks Vail

“Is this just a pedicure with a nicer name?”

“Declining eyesight made foot and nail care a strain but typical nail salons were never enjoyable for me, and incompatible with … compromised immune system. Having a skilled nurse provide simple, safe pedicure in my home was a perfect solution.”

Therese Surprenant

“Mom just had surgery. Can she even be seen at home?”

“My mom had just had hip surgery and was not able to bend over enough to take care of her toenails and calluses. Debbie was great in explaining what she was doing and was very gentle every step of the way. … fun, personable, punctual and very communicative.”

Common Questions

Questions families ask us

Does Medicare cover in-home foot care?

Original Medicare generally does not cover routine foot care like nail trimming and callus care unless a doctor documents a qualifying medical condition. That's why Golden Years keeps pricing simple and private-pay: a flat $65 initial assessment and $50-$65 maintenance visits, with no paperwork surprises. Some Medicare Advantage plans include allowances that may reimburse you, and we're happy to provide a receipt to submit.

How often should seniors have their toenails trimmed?

Most seniors do best with professional trimming every 4 to 6 weeks. Nails thicken and grow more slowly with age, and regular maintenance prevents painful ingrown nails, fungal buildup, and walking discomfort before they start.

Do you work with diabetic feet?

Yes. Diabetic foot care is one of Debbie's specialties as a licensed nurse: careful attention to skin integrity, circulation, and infection prevention at every visit, with sterilized instruments and gentle technique. For wounds or medical concerns, she'll refer you to your physician or podiatrist.

What happens at the first visit?

Every new client starts with the Initial Foot Care Assessment ($65, home or facility): a full look at nails, skin, and circulation, followed by the first complete treatment, trimming, filing, callus care, and a relaxing foot massage to finish.

Where does Golden Years travel?

The greater Denver metro and northern Front Range, including Longmont, Boulder, Erie, Frederick, Firestone, Broomfield, Westminster, Thornton, Northglenn, Arvada, Lakewood, Aurora, and Denver, in private homes, assisted living, and senior communities.

How do I pay?

Whatever is easiest: cash or check at the visit, or secure online payment by card through Square, so out-of-town family members can pay for a parent's care directly from the payment page.
